So, I have been made aware that the people of the world are highly offended that I have been so negligent of my duty to inform them about the birth of our latest child (::cough:: Megan ::cough::) hehehe. I really have no excuse except that I have just been having so much fun mothering and loving the new little one, and her adorable sisters, that I haven't found the time to update our blog. So here we go. Afton Paige was born on December 17th after about a million hours of labor. She weighed in at a whopping 8 pounds 9 ounces, and 20 inches long. We had originally hoped to deliver her naturally after our/my previous c-sections, however we found that to be was an unrealistic hope (after that billion hour labor we referred to earlier). It was apparent that little Afton simply didn't want to come out the way nature intended for her to, and we ended with another c-section. However, the experience was much different than previous c-sections. The nurses allowed me to hold the baby while I was being put back together, and I carried her with me as we went into the recovery room. The doctor let me see her as he pulled her out, so I could feel more connected to the situation. ( I highly recommend Summerlin hospital for anyoe who wants an amazing birth experience btw). So, while I did not get the birth that I wanted. I did get the end result I desired (to hold and bond with baby immidiately), and feel very blessed to finally feel completely at peace with my birth experience. Here are some pictures from the delivery. I will probably post pictures of the labor once I get them.

Wow thats awesome! I wish i would've know about summerlin before my last c-section. I would've liked it! She is cute congrats!
She is so cute! Congrats!
So cute! Is it wrong to want to see pictures ASAP? The only thing that would be better is to see the real thing!
Congratulations!!!
I like how the "million" hour labor was later refered to as the "billion" hour labor!!! Poor Alycia. That really was a long labor :(
Sorry I've been so slow with the pics. I have been just wiped out lately and soooo tired. I ususally don't work on the computer during the day unless I've got a play date for the girl (like today) so that leaves working at night, which when you are so tired and your husband says "Go to bed" you just go to bed... So, yeah, sorry. I should have a disc for you soon though. For anybody else, in the meantime, labor & baby pics are at http://withoutaplace.blogspot.com
Marshall and I are looking at your pics right now. Baby Afton is adorable, and we are so glad she is here.
