Random Thoughts

My favorite overused movie quote has got to be, "I can't believe this is happening." Obviously it isn't really happening it's a movie, so why say it? Do they just want to push home the fact that the situation they are in is completely beyond all rationality, (which most viewers will already be painfully aware of at the point that a character says it). Or is it a feeble attempt to elicit feelings of a bond with a character who is presumably, "not so different from oneself?" Either way, it's simply an ironic statement.

Why does stolen time often end up costing so much more in interest?
