Budding hairstylist

So this is the second time that my youngest has gotten her hair cut by a non-professional. The first time, a few months ago, was by herself. She had cut her bangs and they were just grown out long enough that we took her to get them cut the right way, this was on Fiday. The second, non-professional haircut was by her sister, who maybe thought that she was really a talented hairstylist or something. Anyway, yeah here is the result, we had just gotten it trimmed that very morning. No the fact that they were probably just mimicking, what they had seen done earlier in the day did not escape my notice. Does that make me feel better about her butchered hair? Not so much, no.

Ahh yes- the hair cut- does it make you feel any better knowing that every kid at one time or another cuts his/her/another's hair? My brother cut my sisters hair and hid the 'evidence' in a candyland box he stashed under the bed. I cut my own bangs so short I had to wear a headband for two months- right before school pics- and I had a student in my class cut his hair and stash the clippings in a vase- yep. The glorious stories of cutting hair- at least you got yours out of the way!:)

Perhaps she was going for the shabby-chic look?
