About Me
- The Calvert Family
- I am a full time wife and mother and a part-time student. Hopefully in about five years I will have my Architectural design degree, that's about how long it is going to take me to get through school. My husband Allen is a Wildlife Biologist. This essentially means he gets to live out every little boys fantasy to chase animals around the desert. The best part is they even pay him for it. We have 3 girls Emma, who is 6, and Ethnie, who is 3, an Afton who is new. They are incredible girls, and remarkably different from each other. That is our family in a nutshell. We have a great family given us by an even greater God.
Kids say the darndest things
- "Mommy, Afton is crying! I think she needs to milk you!"1-3-10 Ethnie
- "He say high-kah-see, Mommy" Ethnie trying to pronounce Tchaikowski 10-25-09
- Mom: "Where did Moroni hide the gold plates?" Emma: "In his Garage" 10-22-09
- "I miss Daddy, I want to go with him and catch bats," Ethnie 10-22-09
- "Macaroni is is special to me Daddy, it's special to me and Emma and Mommy, but not you." Ethnie 10-19-09
- "That was a great rhyme Mommy, I'm so proud of you," Ethnie 9-14-09
- "Daddy, don't take the satellite radio! I LOVE Satellite Radio!" Emma 9-14-09 Todays kids are so spoiled!
- "Is the baby out yet?" Ethnie (Repetetively) 5-20 & 5-21-09
- "Ashley, we have to go to the temple so we can dance!" Ethnie 4-09
- Ethnie, "Knock knock,". . . . . Me, "Who's there?" . . . Ethnie, "I'm an orange," . . . . Me, " I'm an orange who," . . . . Ethnie, "I'm Sid the Science orange! HAHAHHHAHAHA" 4-09
- "This is good Mom, " I'm not just saying that either," Emma 3-09
- "I love Papa he says bum-bum-be--dum and play the pipes" Ethnie 3-09
- "I love Lola 'acuz she give me a bar" (protien bars) Ethnie 3-09
- "Mommy you're cumbersome, that means bulky, heavy" Emma
- "Daddy's my father, and I love him sooo much!" Ethnie
- "elmo" Ethnie, instead of "elbow"
- "I didn't know there was grass poop!" Emma, referring to her grass stained jeans.
- When asked to put toys away, "No Dad, you just kidding," Ethnie
- "soup-soup" Ethnie (=swimsuit)
- "I NOT ADORABLE!" Ethnie
- "There's a hippo named thunder" Emma, in response to the thunder outside.
- "I'm doing awefome, am't I Mommy" Ethnie
- "Tinkerbell is my favorite actor" Emma
- "When I get married you can't mess up my flowers, Mommy." Emma
- "No more kiss's" Ethnie
- "I like to use my feet, It's my new thing" Emma
- "I'm not a duck anymore, I'm just a regular girl" Emma
- " 'acuz I said so" Ethnie
- It's a beautiful day to watch a kite, and a beautiful day to make stew for the ants" Emma

You mean the patriarch is supposed to be at FHE? Uh-oh...we've been doing it all wrong! Unfortunately, Benjamin usually works Monday nights, which means it's just me and Patrick for FHE...not much different than any other day/evening. At least I try, right??
