Emma is sick today which is terrible, I just hate seeing my girls so sick. (People are probably going to lock me up in the bad mommy ward for my next statement.) However, at the same time, there is no other time when I felt more needed, or loved than when my children are sick. There is something gratifying in having your children cuddle with you all the time. I know it is perverse, but it is maybe one of those strange ways that the Lord compensates for having the worry of sick children. Who knows. There are also moments like the one in this picture that just don't happen when children are feeling completely well. Call me crazy , but I think that even when things are bad, the Lord gives us little blessings to let us know that it's all worth it.

That is such a beautiful picture! And my kids are never quiet when they are sick so I have no idea what your talking about!
You're so NOT a Bad mom! I totally know what you are talking about when you say you feel the love more when they are sick.
